What the job involves
A whole-home air purifier is added to the return side of your air handler or into the duct trunk, so every cubic foot of air passing through gets treated. The work means cutting and sealing a housing into sheet metal, wiring a low-voltage or line-voltage connection depending on the unit, and making sure static pressure stays where your blower can handle it. We seal our cuts properly, because a leaking return in a humid attic pulls in exactly the air you were trying to filter out.
What we check and install
First we look at the filter slot you already have. Some homes only need a deeper media cabinet and better sealing around the frame. Others do better with a UV lamp at the coil to slow biological growth, or an electronic air cleaner for fine particles. We check blower capability, duct sizing, the condition of the coil and drain pan, and whether return air is being pulled from a dusty attic or garage. Then we size the purifier to the airflow your system actually moves.
How we decide it is the right call
Air purifiers do not fix a dirty duct system or a coil covered in growth, so we rule those out first. If your equipment runs nearly all day through our long cooling season, a purifier earns its place because air passes it constantly. If you have pets, sensitivities, or a home near salt air where windows stay shut, it helps more. If your real problem is humidity or a leaking return, we say so and fix that instead of selling you a box.

Does a whole-home air purifier replace my regular filter?
Usually not. Most systems still need a filter to protect the blower and coil from larger debris. Some media cabinets combine both functions, and we will tell you exactly what to change and how often.
Will it slow down my airflow?
It can if the unit is oversized for the system. We measure what your blower can handle before choosing anything, because restricted airflow means weaker cooling, higher runtime and strain on the equipment.
Do UV lamps need service?
Yes. UV lamps lose output long before they stop glowing, so they are replaced on a schedule, typically annually. We check the lamp and the coil surface during regular maintenance visits.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, ice on the lineset, a humming outdoor unit. That detail helps us load the right parts before we drive out.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
We check the thermostat, the air handler, the condenser and the electrical side, then measure what the system is actually doing. You get a plain explanation of the fault and the repair options before we start.
- Step 3
We repair and verify
Once the repair is done we run the system and confirm temperature split, drainage and airflow at the vents. If a part is on order, we tell you the timeline instead of leaving you guessing.

Why homeowners call us
- We plan for salt airCoastal humidity and salt eat coils, contactors and cabinet screws. We look for corrosion during every visit and treat it as part of the diagnosis, not an afterthought, so a repaired system does not fail again in the same spot.
- Built for constant runtimeFlorida systems run most of the year, so bearings, capacitors and drain lines wear faster than the manual suggests. We size repairs around that reality and point out the components likely to be next in line.
- Old houses and new onesIsland properties often hide ductwork in tight, damp spaces, while tract homes tend to have short, undersized returns. We have worked both and adjust the approach rather than forcing one standard fix.
- Clear talk, no upsell theatreWe tell you what failed, what it takes to fix it, and whether repair or replacement makes more sense for the age of the equipment. If a repair will hold, we say so and get on with it.
- All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
- Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
