The AC installation symptoms we hear most
- The unit runs all day and the house never gets cold Undersized or worn equipment losing capacity
- We just paid for another repair and it broke again End-of-life system, repeat failures on the same circuit or coil
- The outdoor unit is rusted through at the base Salt air and coastal corrosion on cabinet, coil and fasteners
- One room is always ten degrees warmer Duct limitations, better suited to a ductless mini-split
- We added a room and the AC cannot keep up Load added beyond original system capacity
Search for it as AC installation or air conditioner installation and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Check the thermostat mode and setpoint, and put fresh batteries in if the display is dim or blank.
- 2Look at the breaker panel for a tripped breaker on the air handler or outdoor unit circuit.
- 3Change the filter if it is grey or matted, since a choked filter can look like a failing system.
- 4Clear grass, leaves and stored items back from the outdoor unit so it can breathe.

How do you decide what size system my home needs?
We calculate the load from the actual house: square footage, ceiling height, window area and orientation, insulation and duct condition. Bigger is not better, because an oversized system short cycles, leaves humidity behind and wears itself out faster in our climate.
Should I repair my AC or replace it?
If the system is older, the compressor or coil has failed, and repairs are stacking up on the same components, replacement usually makes more sense. We give you both numbers and the condition notes so you can decide rather than guess.
Do my ducts need work during an AC installation?
Sometimes. We test airflow and look for crushed runs, disconnected joints and leaking plenums. New equipment on bad ducts underperforms, so we tell you what needs sealing or resizing before we quote the equipment.
Is a ductless mini-split a good option for my home?
Mini-splits work well for additions, converted garages, sunrooms and older homes with no practical duct path. They also help rooms that a central system has never reached. We can pair one with existing central AC rather than replacing everything.
How long does an AC installation take?
A straight changeout of central AC is often a single day. Add duct repairs, electrical changes, a new pad or line set replacement and it can run into a second day. We give you the schedule before we start.
What happens to my old equipment?
We remove and haul away the old air handler, outdoor unit and any refrigerant lines we replace, and we handle refrigerant recovery ourselves. You do not need to arrange disposal or move anything heavy out of the way.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, ice on the lineset, a humming outdoor unit. That detail helps us load the right parts before we drive out.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
We check the thermostat, the air handler, the condenser and the electrical side, then measure what the system is actually doing. You get a plain explanation of the fault and the repair options before we start.
- Step 3
We repair and verify
Once the repair is done we run the system and confirm temperature split, drainage and airflow at the vents. If a part is on order, we tell you the timeline instead of leaving you guessing.

Why homeowners call us
- We plan for salt airCoastal humidity and salt eat coils, contactors and cabinet screws. We look for corrosion during every visit and treat it as part of the diagnosis, not an afterthought, so a repaired system does not fail again in the same spot.
- Built for constant runtimeFlorida systems run most of the year, so bearings, capacitors and drain lines wear faster than the manual suggests. We size repairs around that reality and point out the components likely to be next in line.
- Old houses and new onesIsland properties often hide ductwork in tight, damp spaces, while tract homes tend to have short, undersized returns. We have worked both and adjust the approach rather than forcing one standard fix.
- Clear talk, no upsell theatreWe tell you what failed, what it takes to fix it, and whether repair or replacement makes more sense for the age of the equipment. If a repair will hold, we say so and get on with it.
